Itinerary

Arrival at Guatemala CitySat. June 1st.

All students must arrive to Guatemala City by June 1st. They will be picked up at the airport. We will spend the night in a lodge near the airport to wait for all the different flights.

Antigua Guatemala – Sun. June 2nd.

Students will get to know the beautiful colonial city of Antigua Guatemala. They will learn about the Spanish Colonial Times in all the Central American Region and tour the city. Students will also participate in a chocolate-making workshop and start learning Spanish.

Shuttle to Izabal – Mon. June 3rd

We will take a shuttle from Antigua Guatemala to the Caribbean Coast in Izabal Department.

Open Water Diver’s License – Tue June 4th to Fri. June 7th.

PADI certified teachers will conduct a 4-day practice and training to extend an international Open Water Diving License.

Oceanography Main Lesson – Tue. June 4th to Mon. June 17th

A 10-day Main Lesson will be given by Jayesh Narasimhulu.

Marine Biology Main Lesson – Tue. June 4th to Mon. June 17th

A 10-day Main Lesson will be given by Niek A.H. Slooter

Spanish Lessons – Sun. June 2nd to Tue. June 18th

Spanish Lessons will be given by Juan Pablo Barillas

Game Day – Mon. June 10th & Sat. June 15th

On these days students will have the opportunity to play some games and relax.

Shuttle to Petén – Tue. June 18th.

We will take a shuttle from Izabal to Petén, where Tikal is located.

Tikal Tour – Wed. June 19th.

Students will tour Tikal Archeological site. This is a beautiful Mayan site where they will discover an entire civilization and culture that shaped Mesoamerica.

Guatemala City Tour – Fri. June 21st.

Students will tour Guatemala’s Centro Histórico and learn about the contemporary historic events that shaped the City.

Flight back – Sat. June 22nd.

All students fly back home.
